Radical Concepts Research & Development (R/CR&D) was established in 1983 with the purpose to experiment with aircraft
exploring vertical flight technologies. Our main focus is to design a simple and reliable aircraft engine with non-intrusive
vertical flight capabilities. Our direction is a thrust vectored ducted fan engine for safe and practical vertical take off
and landing (VTOL) commuter aircraft. Our approach is our patented Hover Jet Vectored Thrust Compressor (VTC) and it applications:
the EXP-1 unmanned air vehicle and the Heavy Lift VTC engine for the Pegasus Aircycle, a prototype test bed aircraft of our
concepts. All necessary components exist to construct a new breed of aircraft making doorstep to destination air travel a
reality. At R/CR&D we have our eyes on the vertical horizon everyday!
