An O.S. 91 DF engine powers the Hover Jet VTC. Driving two 5 1/2' ducted fans this little power plant generates 22 lbs. of
thrust. It weighs 5 lbs. and operates on Nitro methane diesel fuel. The entire package has 13 components excluding the airframe.
It is designed modular for simple kit manufacturing and easy assembly.
In 1993, a patent application was made to the U.S. Patent & Trademark office by R/CR&D under the name "Vectored
thrust compressor for remote controled aircraft." In 1997, the PTO issued a patent # 5,666,803 to R/CR&D for the
Hoverjet Vectored Thust Compressor.
